Introduction

You probably have been doing flight simulation on your own and naturally you are now looking out to join a VA. A virtual airlines are almost like their real life counterparts, some flight the same schedules and some make their own.

Virtual Airlines can be emulating a commercial airline, a country's Air Force, a Cargo airline or just a flight club. Some have their own fleet and therefore you must be "type rated" for those aircrafts. Even on a simulator flying a Cessna is not the same as flying a Boeing 767.

Some VAs are simple, others have quite elaborated websites that look very professional. Some are loose in their membership requirements while for others you must actually pass a knowledge test. You may be required to install some propietary utility in order to be able to fly with the VA.

With some virtual airlines you may be able to get away with a very lose flight plan but with others you may find out that you actually have to know how to file a more realistic flight plan, not only the actual route you fly but the other information you submit as your flight plan.

In other words flight simulation is an exciting field and Virtual Airlines are just the type of thing you may want to join if you are tired of flying randomly. There is definitely a VA that matches your skills and wishes and you are in the right place as we have one of the largest directories of virtual airlines on the internet!.
